Working as a Visual Design Intern at Digital Pulp, the advertising agency’s client, North Carolina Central University, needed a creative website redesign. The client wanted the site to emulate the University’s history, power and success as a Historically Black College or University (HBCU). Each page is made up of various modules tailored to the universities most populated resources.
I was given the wireframe designs, page architecture and a basic style guide when beginning designing. Below is the home page of the redesign concept for NCCU. I developed a typographic system which highlights the words that NCCU described important to them as well as creating icons to display the universities accomplishments. Each page is made up of various modules tailored to the universities most populated resources.
After completing the visual design of the home page with an established brand it was then implementing into various pages such as detail pages or articles. These then act as templates throughout the entire universities website.
